Rosemary A. Gerickont (nee Spinelli) of Southampton passed away on Monday, November 22, 2010 at home surrounded by her family and friends after a battle with cancer. She was 66. Born in New Brunswick, Rosemary was a 1962 graduate of New Brunswick High School and went on to Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts where she graduated in 1965 with a degree in Pictorial Illustrations. She also earned a certificate of completion from the American Society of Dowsers in Danville, VT in 1991. Beginning at age 12, Rosemary's love of horses lead her to become an accomplished horselady and trainer. She then met the love of her life, Joseph Gerickont, and they married in November 1966. Together with her brother-in-law George Gerickont they ran a Dairy Farm in Piscataway. In 1989 they relocated to Southampton and established Ro Ann Farm where they grow grain, hay and straw. Rosie loved her garden, flowers and working with the ""Boys"" on the farm. She always loved nature, animals and always had a positive attitude.
Daughter of the late Peter Dalton and Helen Spinelli, she is survived by her husband of 44 years, Joseph Gerickont; her brother-in-law George Gerickont of Southampton; her sister-in-law Francis Lauria of Piscataway; nieces Janie Stark, Diane Chiocchi, Darlene Lauria and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nephews, Cousins, Friends and will be sadly missed by her animals.
Funeral Services will be 9:30am Saturday, November 27, at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment will follow in Resurrection Memorial Park, Piscataway. Friends are invited to call Friday evening 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home and again Saturday morning 9am until time of service.
