Rose Marie Zaiss , 76, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Capital Health, Fuld Campus in Trenton, with her family by her side. Born in Allentown, NJ she was a resident of Bordentown all her life. Rose was a graduate of William MacFarland High School Class of 1965 and retired from St. Francis Hospital as the Coordinator of Volunteer Services. Rose was very active in the Community where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bordentown for over 60 years, was past Commander of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 455 of New Egypt, a past member of the Hope Hose Humane Co. No. 1 and the EMS of Bordentown and past president of the Bordentown City Senior Citizens. She will be deeply missed.

Predeceased by her parents, Walter and Nellie Meench and her brother Donald Johnson, she is survived by her beloved husband of 27 years, Eugene E. Zaiss Jr. Her sisters: Mary Johnson, Donna Palmucci and her husband Charles, and Jean Horner and her husband Phil all of Bordentown. Her nieces and nephews: Philip Horner Jr, Kristie Roohr(Nathan), Charles Palmucci III(Shannon), Michael Horner(Kitti) and Laura Zaiss(fiancé Alfred). Great nephews and light of her life: Ryan and Evan Roohr, many cousins, close relatives and many dear friends.

Services will be held 4 pm Saturday, May 13 at the First Baptist Church, 127 Prince St, Bordentown, NJ. Visitation will be from 2pm until time of service at the church. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Roses name to the First Baptist Church, 127 Prince St, Bordentown, NJ 08505. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown, NJ.
