Rose Marie (Gresko) Smieszek , 70, passed away on June 23, 2021. She was born in Trenton, NJ and resided there most of her life, before she moved into Care One (Preferred Care) of Ewing. Before she started her family, Rose was employed by N.J. Disability. She was an active volunteer for the Center for Non-Profits in Trenton where she was recognized as the Volunteer of the Year.

Family was so very important to Rose. Her sons and her grandchildren were the highlight of her life and she was so proud of them. She looked forward to keeping in touch with her 7 brothers and sisters, especially her sister Sue, who was such a very important part of her life. Before being at Preferred Care she loved her adventures at the Jersey Shore and especially loved gambling in Atlantic City. She never missed the weekly bingo games at the local firehouse. One of her favorite pastimes was shopping QVC. Rose had a love for owls and managed to amass quite a collection of them. She had a heart of gold and was always willing to help others. With her bubbly personality she made many friends where she was, not only with the other residents but with the staff as well.

Predeceased by her parents, Anna and Peter Gresko, her sister Ann (Tom), her brother Frank (Lynn), and Thomas (Gail). She is survived by her sons, Stephen (Rachel) and Daniel (Kristy), her brothers, Peter (Margaret) and Joseph (Kathy) and her sisters, Susanna and Mary Jane (Yuri) and her grandchildren, Linden, Gianna, Rory Ann and Enzo as well as many nieces and nephews. She also had a very dear friend Debra Bruno, who was always there to support her.

Family and friends may call 7-9 pm on Tuesday, June 29 ^th or from 10-11:00 am Wednesday, June 30 with service to be at 11:00 am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Cedar Lane, Hamilton Twp.
