Rose A. Cortese, age 75, of Allentown, NJ, passed away Wednesday January 16th at her home. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a resident of Staten Island for many years before moving to Allentown five years ago. She was dedicated to her family, who was everything to her.

Daughter of the late Paul and Irene Mari and sister of the late Catherine Diomede, John Mari, Anna Lattarulo, Frank Mari and Anthony Mari; she is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jerry P. Cortese; her son, Vincent Cortese and his wife Lynn of Lumberton, NJ; her daughter, Dr. Lisa Costagliola and her husband Jon of Cream Ridge, NJ; a brother, Michael Mari and his wife JoAnn of Brooklyn, NY; five grandchildren, Brian Peter, Paul Vincent, Chelsea Marie, Andrew Gerard and Brianna Emily as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Monday January 21st at St. John's Church, 1282 Yardville Rd., Allentown, NJ. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday 2-4pm and 7-9pm and again Sunday 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown, NJ.
