Ronald R. Meadows , 89, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the Masonic Village in Burlington, NJ.  Born in Columbus, NJ, he was a resident of Burlington County most of his life.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force and worked at McGuire AFB for more than 30 years.  Ron was a member of the Mt. Moriah Lodge #28 F & AM of Bordentown and the Burlington County Shine Club.  He was also a lifetime member of the Pioneer Gun Club of Columbus, NJ.

Ronald was predeceased by his parents, John Meadows and Marguerite Ridgway Poinsett, his sister, Doris Poinsett Greene, and his nephew, J. Scott Stanek.  He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jane Hornor Meadows, his son, Timothy and Rosemary Meadows, his son, John Meadows, and his daughter, Lisa and Bill Smylie.  He also leaves behind his grandchildren, William and Kristen Smylie, Joseph and Sherri Smylie, Erin Smylie and April VanChieri and his great-grandchildren, Declan, Liam, Joelle, Kieran, Lyanna, Brailyn, Jacob, Karleigh and Andrew.

Ron served in the US Air Force on active duty and later joined the Air Force Reserve Program as an Air Reserve Technician where he attained the rank of Chief Master Sergeant.

Throughout his life, Ron enjoyed hunting, traveling, and camping with their friends.  He was an avid mechanic and could always be found working on something in his garage.  He was very passionate about his work with the masonic lodge and loved being a part of that organization.  Ron loved spending time with his family and friends and getting together to go out for dinner or just gathering for a meal together around the table at home.

A Memorial Service celebrating Ronald's life will be held Thursday, October 21 from 6 to 8 pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. A funeral Service will be at 8 pm with Masonic Services beginning at 7:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ron's name to the Masonic Village of Burlington.
