Roger F. Grover, Sr., 75, of Groveville, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton. Born in Allentown, he was a longtime Crosswicks and Groveville area resident. A US National Guard Veteran, Roger retired in 2001 as a mechanic from Patterson Chevrolet. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #35 for many years. Roger was an avid outdoorsman who loved nature and animals. He enjoyed fishing, going camping with his family, auto racing and tinkering with his cars and lawn mowers. Above all, Roger was a kind and generous man. He was a hard worker who always put his family first and was willing to help anyone in need. He was loved and will be missed by many.

Son of the late Arthur and Mildred Grover, he was predeceased by a brother, Leroy Grover and a sister, Dolores Wolverton. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Pat Grover; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger Jr. and Eileen Grover of Bordentown and Steven and Deneen Grover of Yardville; three granddaughters, Stephanie Grover and her fiancé, Gary M. Goodwin and Kayla Macklin and Victoria Grover; his sisters and brothers, Pearl Beatty of Crosswicks, Charles Grover of Whiting, George Grover of Trenton, Carolyn Matlack of Allentown, Ella Blanchard of Allentown, Pattie Rosina and her husband Charles of Chesterfield, Evelyn Cook of Groveville and Joann Beatty and her husband Butch of Jackson; a sister-in-law, Dot Grover of Wrightstown as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 1pm on Saturday, March 15th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Pastor Rupert Hall will officiate. Interment will follow in North Crosswicks Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call Friday from 6-9pm and again Saturday from 12-1pm at the funeral home.
