Rodney Kinney, 63, of Mansfield, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Burlington. Born in Pikeville, Kentucky he was a Bordentown area resident for many years. An Army veteran serving during the Vietnam Era; Rodney retired from US Steel (USX) in Fairless Hills, PA. He enjoyed playing golf and was an excellent pool player.
Son of the late Esmer and Maxie Kinney, he was predeceased by his sister, Linda Santiago. Rodney is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sharon R. Kinney; his daughter and son-in-law Christa and James Rogers of Columbus; his son Seth Kinney of Mansfield; his granddaughter who, was the sparkle of his eye, Elisabeth Rogers; a brother, Douglas Kinney of Imlaystown; a nephew and his wife, Marton and Lindsay Carpenter of New Egypt; two grandnephews, Jack and Fred; a grandniece, Amelia as well as many other relatives around the country.
Funeral service will be held 11am on Friday, May 14th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. Interment will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the funeral home.
