Roberta M. Frantz (nee Malsbury), 83, of Allentown, NJ, died Sunday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. Born in Cream Ridge, she was raised on the Fair Winds Farm in Upper Freehold Township, until moving to Allentown Borough 21 years ago. She graduated from Allentown High School in 1943. She worked at Fort Dix in the finance department and morning reports for 4 years. On June 29, 1947, she married the Rev. Horace M. Frantz, a United Methodist minister and served churches of the Southern New Jersey Conference for 41 years. While serving the New Egypt and Cookstown churches, she was a crossing guard and when serving the Absecon Church, she worked in the shops on Smithville. In retirement, she and her husband traveled extensively, visiting Israel, Austria and Switzerland, Korea, England and various places in the US. She was a member of the Bordentown Chapter #257 O.E.S. and the Allentown United Methodist Church.
Daughter of the late Calvin S. and Bessie Malsbury (nee VanHise), she is survived by her husband of 60 years Horace M. Frantz, a son and daughter-in-law, William and Beverly Frantz of Harrisburg, PA; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and James Rosenberg of Tabernacle; a grandson Steve Frantz and his wife Michelle, a grand daughter, Lori Fetterhoff and her husband Steve, two great granddaughters, Olivia Grace Frantz and Lauren Nichole Fetterhoff, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be Friday 11:00 am at the Allentown United Methodist Church, 23 Church St., Allentown, NJ. Interment will follow in Emley's Hill Cemetery, Cream Ridge. Friends may call Thursday evening 6 pm to 9 pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of her to: Susan G.
