Robert J. Sobon, 68 passed away suddenly on March 4th, 2015, at his home. Born in Trenton, he had lived in Bordentown Township before moving to Florence. Robert was a graduate of the Bordentown High School and served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves from 1966 until 1972. He then went on to work for PSEG in a various locations for 38 years before retiring. He was an accomplished musician and played in numerous bands as a keyboard player from the 1960s-1990.

Predeceased by his parents Valentine and Jean Sobon, and his brother Richard Sobon. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Mary Trapani Sobon of Florence. He is also survived by his sister Patricia Rockhill of Bordentown. Robert has 3 children which include his daughter Juliane and Phillip Claxton of Savannah, Georgia; Robert A. Sobon and Kelly of Florence, Michael Sobon and Johanna of North Hanover. He was the loving grandfather of 6 grandchildren including Ella Claxton, twins Robert John "RJ" and Zachary Sobon, and Daniel, Anna and Gregory Sobon.

Funeral Services will be held for Robert on Monday March 9th, 2015 at 10am at the St. Clare Church in Florence. Visitation will be from 2 pm-4 pm and again from 7pm-9pm on Sunday March 8th, 2015 at the Peppler Funeral Home in Bordentown.
