Robert E. Oliver, 88, of Robbinsville passed away peacefully at his residence. Robert was a United States Army veteran before going to Rider College and graduating with a Bachelor's and Master's degrees, which he utilized as a profound teacher and guidance counselor for the many who walked the halls of Steinert High School. Robert was a lifetime member of Pearson United Methodist Church, where he helped integrate the school program into the church. He was also a master mason and part of the brotherhood of Mt. Moriah #28 F&AM and a member of the Central Jersey Beagle Club for over 25 years. Robert was a devoted, loving husband for over 60 years to his late wife, Helen Oliver as well as a caring man who has helped many throughout his life.

Predeceased by his parents, Arnold and Lillian Oliver; his beloved wife of over 60 years, Helen Z. Oliver; and his brother, Alan Oliver. Robert is survived by his sister-in-law; Nancy Oliver of Neshanic Station; his nephews, Todd Oliver of Neshanic Station, and Jeffrey Zahles of Doylestown, and his niece Laura Oliver of Neshanic Station .

Church services for Robert will be 10:30am on Friday, May 21 at Pearson United Methodist Church, 71 Pearson Dr. Trenton, NJ 08610. Friends and family may join for a visitation at the church from 9am until the time of service. Interment for Robert will be held at Greenwood Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
