Robert Dyer Medaugh, LTC (Ret.), 92, of Medford Leas died January 1, 2010 at his home. He was born in Wantage Township, N.J. and had previously resided in Bordentown Township before moving to Medford. He served in the U.S. Army and was awarded the Legion of Merit for service in Vietnam and the Meritorious Service Medal and numerous other awards for his 31 years of military service. Following his retirement from the military, he was employed by the McKay Corporation as the office manager. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bordentown, Mt. Moriah Lodge # 28, F&AM and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Tacoma.
The husband of the late June E. Medaugh, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Alan and Barbara Medaugh of New York City, a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Charles Abernethy of Ashland, MA, a brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Marcie Medaugh of Westminister, CO and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the Holly Room at Medford Leas, 1 Medford Leas Way, Medford, N.J. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA with full military honors. The family respectfully requests memorials be made to the Medford Leas Nursing Scholarship Fund.
