Robert "Bobby" Martinez, 62, of Cream Ridge, New Jersey, passed away unexpectedly on June 29, 2026.
Bobby will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Christine Martinez; his stepchildren, Jessica and Gerard Martell; and his cherished bonus daughter, Irene Domingo.
A kind, gentle, and faithful man, Bobby lived a life rooted in compassion, creativity, and generosity. He was a devoted member of the Church of God, a Worldwide Association, where his steadfast faith guided the way he lived and cared for others. He was also an avid New York Yankees fan who rarely missed the opportunity to cheer on his favorite team. A gifted artist, Bobby expressed his creativity through graphic design, drawing, photography, and music, especially playing the guitar. His artistic talents brought beauty, inspiration, and joy to the lives of family, friends, and all who knew him.
Born on August 10, 1963, in South Amboy, New Jersey, Bobby was the son of the late Frank and Carmen (Del Arroyo) Martinez. He is survived by his sisters, Nilda (William) Jolloff, Debra Talmadge, and Rita (Kenneth) Shiflett. He is also survived by in-laws, Carolyn (Bill) Gagnon, Cheryl (Brandon Beit) Burger, Christopher (Rosamaria) Burger. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Stephen and Richard Martinez, and his brother-in-law, Fred Talmadge. He was also predeceased by his parents in law, Charlie and Betty Gail Burger, sister-in-law, Carrie DeSantis, and brother-in- law, Charlie Burger IV.
Bobby was raised in the Oakshades section of Aberdeen and graduated from Matawan High School with the Class of 1981. He later attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where he further developed the artistic gifts that would remain a lifelong passion. He worked for the Union county Public works department and retired in 2025. A beloved uncle, cousin, and friend, Bobby will be remembered for his warm smile, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor. His kindness, unwavering faith, generous heart, and creative spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though his passing leaves a tremendous void, the memories he created and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a funeral service immediately following at 3:00 p.m., at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 South Main Street, Allentown, New Jersey 08501.
