Obituary

Robert C. Malloy , 84, entered God's loving care Monday, Feb 1, 2021 at RWJ University Hospital, Hamilton. Born in Trenton, he had lived in Hamilton and Bordentown prior to moving to Columbus 15 years ago. He was a graduate of Trenton State College and retired as a Research Assistant with the NJ Dept. of Transportation. Bob was a former director of the CYO in Trenton/Yardville for many years. He was a member of the American Legion, the Bordentown Elks, and the VFW Post 491 of Yardville; and parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bordentown. A member of the Air Force Reserves he was activated to Paris during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He enjoyed cooking and was a very talented artist, contributing to the annual Burlington County calendar for many years.  He loved fishing and looked forward to the annual fishing trip in Canada with his special buddies.  He liked golf and especially enjoyed Dixieland music, arranging fun gatherings with many family & friends at the former Bromley Inn and the Tir Na Nog. He also loved the Florida Keys, and traveling abroad. He was especially loved by his 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents, Edward and Olga Malloy, siblings Edward Jr. ;  Patricia Conner; and Mary Ellen Ramus;  stepchildren Shawn Scaccetti and Mark Skillman. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marie Malloy of Columbus, his daughter Lynne & her husband Luis Fuertes of Middletown, NJ, son Jeffrey Malloy & husband Dean Shibuya of Palm Springs, Ca., his brother William Malloy and his wife Jean of Hamilton Township;  and sister: Judith Nemeth and her husband Richard of Florence. His step children: Amy Raspatello and her husband Ralph of Columbus, Laurie Skillman of North Hanover Township and Patti DiMassa and her husband Jerry of Florence.

A Memorial Service with the family will be held 12 pm, February 10 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. Inurnment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown NJ. Family and friends may call from 11 am until time of service at the funeral home. Due to Covid restrictions, visitation is limited with social distancing and masks required.
