Dr. Robert L. Golden, 82, of Allentown, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his family. Originally from Bronx, NY, he grew up in Long Island and later resided in East Windsor, NJ, where he ran his dental practice for over 30 years, before retiring to Allentown.

A US Airforce veteran, Robert enjoyed being active and had many outdoor hobbies including sailing, hiking, biking, and skiing. He also enjoyed playing golf and tennis and spending time at the shore where he liked to go fishing and clamming. He and his wife Carol spent time traveling around the world, and often vacationed in Vermont, Florida and Martha's Vineyard.

Above all, Robert loved being with his family and friends and he found great joy in hosting large gatherings with those he loved.

He was predeceased by his mother, Sylvia Golden, and his father and adopted mother, Irving and Ruth Golden. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Carol Golden, his four sons and daughters-in-law, David and Carol, Andrew and Heidi, Brian and Dee, and Mark and Andrea; his grandchildren, Kyle, Ben, Rachel, Theo, Jonathan, Jake, Justin, Bella, Josh and Noah; his siblings and their spouses, Bruce and Judy Golden, Ellen Golden and Carol Cortes, Diane and George Dumigan, and Ken and Peggy Golden, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 12pm Tuesday, September 15 ^th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Interment will follow in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown.
