Obituary
Robert L. Grootegoed, of Whiting, formerly of Old Bridge, who loved the ocean, lighthouses and anything maritime; passed away Sunday May 6, 2007 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ann, in February 2006 and his mother, Margaret Dierschel. Robert is survived by his daughters, Belinda Trainor, Diane Markese, Karen Homeny and Susan Grootegoed, with whom he resided; a son, Robert B. Grootegoed; two sons-in-law, Larry Homeny and Anthony Yaskoweak, Jr; a daughter-in-law, Denise Cook; seven grandchildren, Melissa, Melanie, Lauren, Ryan, Owen, Anthony and William; two great grandchildren, Alexis and Jack. Robert is also survived by his sister, Marie Vale, his mother-in-law, Anna Sury; his brother-in-law, Richard Sury and his sister-in-law, Francis Musial.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
