Robert J. Faber Sr., 89, of Cream Ridge, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2026. Born in Englishtown, NJ, Bob was a lifelong resident of the Allentown and Cream Ridge area — a place he loved deeply and proudly called home.
Bob was, at heart, a farmer. The land was not just his livelihood but his life’s work and his greatest pride. He poured his strength, dedication, and love into his farm, finding joy in the labor of each season. In the fall, nothing made him happier than welcoming family and friends for hayrides through the farm’s plentiful fields, where everyone could take in the brilliant leaves and the beauty of the countryside he had worked so hard to cultivate. Sharing that beauty with those he loved meant everything to him.
A graduate of Allentown High School and a devoted member and lifelong supporter of the FFA, Bob believed deeply in community and in nurturing the next generation of farmers. His commitment to service extended far beyond his fields. He served on the Upper Freehold Township Committee for 17 years and was also a member of the township’s Planning Board. He was a longtime member of the Hope Fire Company and a lifetime member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Allentown — institutions that reflected his steady faith and devotion to his neighbors.
Bob was a man of many passions. He loved car racing and proudly sponsored the “Echo Hill Farm” race car, combining his love of farming with the thrill of the track. He also had a special fondness for a good snowstorm. Snow meant it was time to fire up the snowmobile — and, more importantly, to check on his neighbors. Bob never hesitated to plow out driveways and lanes, making sure everyone was safe and cared for. It feels like a fitting tribute that a blizzard has arrived just after his passing — as if nature itself knew how much he delighted in a snowy day.
Family was the center of Bob’s world. He treasured hosting his relatives from Luxembourg, proudly sharing his home, his farm, and his heritage. He was especially proud of the life he built with his beloved wife of 67 years, Patricia Ann Faber. Together they created a family grounded in love, hard work, and faith.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Caroline Faber, and his seven siblings. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia; his children and their spouses, Dawne Baker, Jill and Chris Bradley, and Robert Jr. and Sandra Faber; his grandchildren, Jenna Janney and her husband John, Jacqueline Asprocolas and her husband Michael, Caroline Kozich and her husband R.J., Christopher Bradley, and James Bradley; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who will carry forward his legacy of kindness, generosity, and quiet strength.
Bob will be remembered as a proud farmer, a devoted public servant, a loyal friend, and a neighbor who always showed up — whether with a plow after a storm, a hay wagon in the fall, or a warm welcome at his table. His life was rooted in hard work, community, and love, and the fields he tended will forever stand as a testament to a life beautifully lived.
A viewing will be held on Friday, February 27th from 10–11am at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Allentown. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11am at the Church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s name to the Allentown FFA Chapter, c/o Allentown High School, 27 High St., Allentown, NJ 08501.
Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
