Robert H. Decker, 84, of Robbinsville, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Raised in Roselle Park, NJ, he resided in East Windsor for most of his life, eventually moving to Robbinsville. Affectionately known by his friends as Bob, he earned his undergraduate degree in education from New York University and his master's degree from Seton Hall University. He was a Principal for Sayreville School District and retired in 2001.
He was a talented craftsman who enjoyed woodworking and could fix almost anything, A man of faith, he was a former member of St. Anthony of Padua in Hightstown and was, most recently, a member of the St. John the Baptist RC Church in Allentown.
Robert always said family was the most important thing. He was a loving husband and father, and a devoted grandfather. He was always there for his grandchildren, supporting them in all they did. As an avid college sports fan, he always cheered for his grandchildren's university teams.
Son of the late Guen and Henry Decker, he was predeceased by his sister, Ginny Jones, and sister-in-law Geraldine Bartolomucci. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Donna Decker, his son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Pam Decker, his daughter and son-in-law, Christine and John Ciccarone; his grandchildren, Kevin, Megan, and Caitlin Decker and Andrew and Emily Ciccarone. Robert is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and Charles Fedak; his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Marylou Decker; his brother-in-law, Al Bartolomucci and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A viewing will be held Monday, November 3rd from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Tuesday, November 4th at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd, Allentown, NJ. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
