Robert O. Bocock II, 68, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at his home with his family by his side. Born and raised in Trenton, he was a graduate of Trenton High School Class of 1969 and received a Bachelors degree in Business Management from Trenton State College. Bob worked for PSE&G as a Manager of Operations with Energy, Resources and Trading and was involved with the Boy Scouts of America.
Bob enjoyed boating on the Delaware River, the Delaware Bay, the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. He and his wife Cheryl spent many summers living aboard "Cher Bo" at Two Mile Landing Marina in Wildwood Crest. In 2018 they navigated the intercoastal Waterway to Elizabeth City, NC. He was a member of the Delaware River Yachtsmen's League and served as Delegate 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd VP and as President from 1996 to 2006. He was a member of the Yapewi Aquatic Club since 1978 and served in all positions from Mate to Commodore multiple times and he was also a member of the Harbor Light Yacht Club of Essington, PA. Bob enjoyed the beaches of NJ and walking along the surf. He had a favorite 'haunte' on every boardwalk but the one he loved most was Maruca's in Seaside.
Predeceased by his parents Robert O. Bocock and Helen Jamrosz, his 1 st wife, Deborah Sutton Bocock and father-in-law, Grier "Chuck" Sutton and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Cissie and Ed Errickson, he is survived by his beloved wife of 12 years, Cheryl Errickson Bocock of Bordentown City, his sons: Robert O. Bocock III and his wife Kelly of Hamilton Township, and David G, Bocock of Bordentown. His step daughter: Jennifer Smith and her husband Joel of Bordentown, step son: Jon Lorie and his wife Becca of Hamilton Township, Six grandchildren: Rebecca, Ryan, David, Kaylee, Christian and Kenny, brothers-in-law: James Errickson of Burlington Township and Bill Errickson and his wife Tammy of Grottoes, VA, sisters-in-law: Beth Avallone and her husband Jim of Prosperity, PA, Jayne Sutton Sward and her husband Brian and Nancy Sutton German and her husband John of Florence Township. His mother-in-law: Lorraine Sutton of Florence, many nieces nephews and cousins, dear friends and his companion yorkie: "Molly".
A memorial service celebrating Bob's life will be held 1 pm Saturday, September 19 at the Yapewi Aquatic Club, 107 Park St, Bordentown, NJ. Due to the current pandemic face masks should be worn and social distancing practiced. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown.
