Robert W. Bell, 76, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2010 at St. Francis Medical Center with his family by his side. Born in Trenton, he was raised and lived in Bordentown most of his life. He was a graduate of William MacFarland High School and a US Navy Veteran. Bob retired after 40 years with PSE&G as a tower man, was a member of the IBEW Local #94 of Hightstown and was a lifetime member of the Bordentown Elks BPOE #2085.
Son of the late William and Beatrice Bell, he is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years Rita M. Bell (nee Karch); daughter, Elizabeth M. Bell of Bordentown; son, Michael L. and Ann Bell of Columbus and daughters, Susan M. and Matthew Fox of Hamilton, and Kristine M. and Troy Carter of Clayton, N.C. He is also survived by six grandchildren; Michael and Luke Bell, William and Brian Fox, and Joseph and Katherine Carter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, 10:00 am, at St. Mary's Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Monday from 6-9 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out in Robert's name to St. Francis Medical Center School of Nursing, St. Francis Ave. Trenton, NJ 08629, or a charity of the donor's choice.
