Richard H. Mathews BORDENTOWN CITY - Richard H. Mathews, 58, passed away Monday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, with his family by his side. Born in Trenton, he had lived in Bordentown all of his life. He worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad for over 38 years. He was an avid baseball fan, loved his family and enjoyed walks through town with his buddy ""Sammy,"" the family pet.
Son of the late Richard J. Mathews and Lorraine Mathews (Stratton), he is survived by his wife Dawn M. Mathews (Jobes); a son, Ian Mathews of Bordentown; a daughter and son-in-law Erica Bowyer and her husband Brandon of Las Vegas, NV; a future granddaughter, Brynn Bowyer; a sister, Christine; a dear father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clinton and Virginia Jobes of Bordentown; as well as several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and special cousins.
Memorial services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown, www.pepplerfh.com.
