Richard A. Harrison, 82, passed away Friday, September 18, 2009, at the Masonic Home of New Jersey, in Burlington Township. Born in Trenton, he had lived in the Hamilton Township area, prior to moving to the Masonic Home. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and retired from the family business of Harrison Rug Service of Trenton. Richard was a member of the Gothic Fraternal Lodge # 270 F&AM of Hamilton Square and St. Mark Lutheran Church of Hamilton.

Son of the late Joseph and Marguerite Harrison, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Richard W. and Jo Harrison of Barrington, IL., his sister and brother-in-law, Naomi and Richard Berrien of Columbus, a brother-in-law, C. James Walton and his wife Joyce of Pennsylvania, a sister-in-law, Betty Walton Fling of Hamilton Square and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 11 am Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 350 White Horse Ave., Hamilton. Interment will follow in Ewing Church Cemetery, Ewing Township. Friends may call from 10 am until time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Home, 902 Jacksonville Rd., Burlington, NJ 08016. A memorial service will also take place at the Masonic Home Chapel later in the week, please contact the home for details. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown.
