Reneé Redmond Carroll, 57, of Allentown passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, Hamilton with her loving daughters by her side. Born in Princeton, she grew up in Hightstown, NJ and attended Hightstown High School '81.
Reneé was a talented prophetic artist, teacher, writer, and beautiful child of God. She attended Kentucky Wesleyan College where she became a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She then continued her studies at the New York School of Interior Design and completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design and Communications at Trenton State.
She was a loving and devoted mother who was always there for her daughters. Deeply involved in her community and the lives of her girls; she served as a youth group shepherd, Girl Scout leader, and as a visionary and collaborator for a number of church ministries. She created the Red Tent and Kairos Cottage- where she developed healing ministries and taught art.
She loved life and her community which she served with her great acts of kindness and empathy. She was a creative visionary well beyond the times. Reneé was a seer of angels who shared her love of God and great faith so eloquently and freely. She enjoyed permaculture gardening with her daughters, testing recipes in the kitchen and creating art in its many mediums.
Daughter of the late G.A. "Jay" Redmond, she is survived by her two daughters, Kelsey Carroll and Madeline (Maddie) Carroll; her mother, Madeline Coma Redmond Gavin and her husband Richard Gavin and her brothers and sisters, Robert (Bob) Redmond and his wife, Sybil Jacobs-Redmond, Ronald (Ron) Redmond and his wife, Kim, Kathy Redmond, Pam Farina and her husband, Chuck, Gail Gavin-Stout and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 10 th , 2021 at 11 am at the Allentown Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Virtual attendance is encouraged, as in-person attendance is limited. To honor Reneé's exuberant spirit and love of rainbows, please wear your most colorful clothing as you watch from home.
