Obituary

Raymond J. VanCampenhout, 69, of New Egypt, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 surrounded by his family. Born in Jamaica, NY, he grew up in Hoboken, NJ before moving to Millstone Twp. and later New Egypt. A graduate of Allentown High School, Ray worked as an excavator operator for Preston Inc. and Moslowski Brothers. He enjoyed fishing with friends, traveling to the Florida Keys and Costa Rica. He was an avid Yankees and Eagles fan and always made time to watch their games. He enjoyed being outdoors but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.

Son of the late John F. and Nelly VanCampenhout, he was predeceased by his brother, Kenny VanCampenhout and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, James B. and Patricia Lamb. Ray is survived by his loving daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Gary Kern and Sara and Michael Genovese; his grandsons, Logan, Owen, and Austin Kern and Kaiden and Parker Genovese; his sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Nick Santarsiero; his sister-in-law, Sandy VanCampenhout; nephews, Matt and Zach Santarsiero and Michael VanCampenhout, as well as his ex-wife of 18 years, Nancy Lamb and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

A viewing will be held Monday, March 28 th from 5:30pm-8:30pm with a service to begin at 8:30pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Cremation will be private.
