Raymond A. Sakowsky, 77 of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at his home.  Born in Trenton, he was a graduate of Hamilton High West.  A US Army Veteran serving in Korea, Raymond worked as a carpenter.  He was an avid golfer and was an active member of the Miry Run Golf Club in Robbinsville and the Hamilton YMCA.

Son of the late Sigmund and Kathryn Sakowsky, he was predeceased by his brother, Donald Sakowsky.  Raymond is survived by his wife of 51 years, Angela Sakowsky; his son, Alan Sakowsky of Hampton; his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Steven Lichtenberger of Cherry Hill; his grandsons Steven Lichtenberger of Hoboken, Greg, Will and Dave Lichtenberger, all of Cherry Hill as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.

A visitation will be held 2 -4pm Sunday, November 13 ^th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main St. Allentown.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
