Pluma Polhemus, 89, of Woodstock, VA, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021. Born in Allentown, NJ, she resided in Cream Ridge for many years before moving to New Market, VA and later to Woodstock, VA. Pluma retired from a knitting factory and was a talented seamstress. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Daughter of the late Kenneth and Edna Johnson, she was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Herbert Polhemus. Pluma is survived by her children, Bonnie Earley and her husband, Jim of Waynesboro, VA, Donald Polhemus of Woodstock, VA and Herbert D. Polhemus and his girlfriend, Kelly Good Singleton of Woodstock, VA; her sisters, Shirley Sexton of Cream Ridge, Barbara Donavan of New Egypt and Connie Stout of Hightstown, as well as five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 14th at 2pm at Emley's Hill Cemetery, Cream Ridge. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or to the New Jersey Humane Society, 6412 Dewey Ave., West New York, NJ 07093.
Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
