Phyllis Joyce Fernandez , 82, of Cream Ridge passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Allentown, she was an area resident all her life. A graduate and valedictorian of Allentown High School, she earned her nursing degree and was a Registered Nurse at Mercer Hospital in Trenton. A former member of Allentown Methodist Church, Phyllis bred Labrador retrievers and enjoyed many activities including, gardening, surf fishing and riding snow mobiles and motorcycles.

Daughter of the late Richard and Dorothy Potts, she was predeceased by her siblings, Grace Breffle and Richard Potts II. Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Burton; her daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Joseph Herbert and her three grandchildren, Rachel, Sara and Kelli Morris.

A visitation will be held from 5-8 Friday, October 29 ^th at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main St., Allentown. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Monday, Nov 1 ^st at the funeral Home. Inurnment will be private at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown.
