Obituary

Philip E. Pieslak, 66, passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly. Born in Trenton, Phil resided in Bordentown until 2001 when he moved to Burlington. Phil proudly served in the US Army as a member of the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (Old Guard) during the Vietnam Era. He also served as a Forest Ranger with the Parks and Forestry Division of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. He retired from General Motors after working many years in Ewing and then in Wilmington, Delaware.

Phil was an avid outdoorsman and loved to go hunting, fishing and camping. Above all, Phil was a man who loved and was devoted to his family.


Son of the late William E. and Beverly M. Pieslak, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Abbie and Tim McAleer; a brother and sister-in-law, Martin and Barbara Pieslak; a sister, Patricia Wolfer; nieces and nephew, Kimberly, Jennifer, Stephanie and Jason; several great nieces and nephews, the Krause family, many friends, and his feline buddy, Victor.

A memorial service will be held 11am on Monday, November 28th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. Inurnment will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. Friends may call Monday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr. Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
