Peter Nosal 96 of Whiting died peacefully at home on January 15, 2020. Born January 31, 1923 to Mary Rosko and Andrew Nosal in Carteret, New Jersey, Peter was the third of five brothers and spent his boyhood on a farm in Croton, NJ. Peter honorably served his country during World War II as a member of the US Navy on the USS Gearing. In 1950, he married the love of his life, Ruth Epler. They shared 69 years and 4 months of marriage, living in the Flemington area, Princeton and eventually retiring to Whiting, NJ. Together they raised three children.
Predeceased by his brothers, John, Andy, and Tony. Peter is survived by his wife, Ruth; three children, Maureen, Michael and Melanie; three grandsons, Kyle, Matthew and Joshua; two great-grand daughters, Juliet and Katelyn and his brother, Paul.
Peter was employed for the majority of his adult life in the construction industry, working his way up from laborer to foreman for Tower Construction. He continued as a construction consultant for Wood and Tower. He enjoyed fishing, pool, golf, traveling, playing cards, doing jigsaw puzzles and spending time competing in any contest or game with his family.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, January 23 rd from 11am-12pm followed by a funeral to begin at 12pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Interment will be at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. In memory of Peter please go out to eat with your family, have a beverage and "Cheers!" each other while enjoying family as Peter did.
