Obituary

Patricia A. Hatala , 76, formerly of Allentown, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023 at Immaculate Mary Home in Philadelphia , PA . Patricia was born in Trenton, NJ, and graduated from Villa Victoria Academy.

Patricia met John J. Hatala in 1980 and were married shortly thereafter.  An avid skier, Patricia could be found on the slopes of Killington where she worked as part of the ski patrol team.  She was active in her community church congregation, Saint Mary's of the Assumption , and often participated in an annual pilgrimage at Mount Saint Macrina in Uniontown, PA.

Daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Vanisko , she was predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years, John P. Hatala and by her brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Joann Vanisko .  Patricia is survived by her children, Heather, and her husband John Kuehne, Jason Hatala , and John Hatala ; her grandson, Harrison Paul Kuehne; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Irene Vanisko ; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Young and Mary Jane Giuffre and her husband Joseph Giuffre ; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation with the family will be held Saturday, February 25 th from 10 :00am -12 :15pm with a service to begin at 1 1:45am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown , NJ .  Inurnment will be held at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown , NJ at a later date .

Memorial contributions may be made in Patricia's name to Sisters of the Order of St. Basil the Great at: Donations - Sisters of St. Basil (sistersofstbasil.org) .
