Owen Henry Briggs Sr. (Hank), 88, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Compassionate Care Hospice in RWJ University Hospital at Hamilton.

Born and raised in Allentown, NJ, he resided in Hamilton for more than 58 years and was employed by American Standard, with over 42 years of service.

Hank enjoyed listening to Hank Williams, was a car enthusiast and enjoyed NASCAR, with his favorite driver being Dale Earnhardt.

Predeceased by his parents: Walter and Myrtle(Walton) Briggs, his sisters: Irene and Gloria, his brothers: Walter and Arnold and his beloved daughter: Carol Briggs Gartland, who took a big part of his heart with her, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Owen Jr. and Nancy Briggs of Allentown, his son-in-law: Jack Gartland of Allentown, his caring life partner: Margaret Murphy, his four grandchildren: Megan  Nowak(Jason), Justin Gartland(Jill), Laura Princiotta(Anthony) and Julie McGowan(Paul) and the proudest Pop-Pop of seven great-grandchildren: Patrick Nowak, Jack and Joey Gartland, Makayla and Isabella Princiotta and Noelle and Luke McGowan.

Funeral Services will be 3:30 pm Wednesday, April 11 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, NJ. Friends may call from 1:30 pm until time of service. Interment will follow in the Allentown Methodist Cemetery.
