Otto Roesel, age 87, of Lawrenceville, passed away Saturday June 7th at University Hospital at Princeton. Born and raised in Nuremberg, Germany, he and his wife moved to the United States in 1950 and became citizens in 1955. They resided in Sunnyside, New York for many years, before moving to Lawrenceville four years ago. Mr. Roesel served in the Germany Navy and retired in 1987 as assistant controller from Deutsche Bank. He loved his family and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Christine Roesel; his daughter, Helga Murray of Lawrenceville; his granddaughter, Kirsten Howell and her husband Edmund of Allentown and his three great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Ryan and Abigail all of Allentown.

Funeral service will be held 11am on Wednesday at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. The Rev. Jenna Goggins will officiate. Interment will follow in Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
