Obituary

Norman Delmas Buckalew, 63, of New Egypt, left this world on Monday, September 27, 2010, to join his parents and his Native American family in the spirit world. Born in Trenton, Norman was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and worked as an industrial and residential electrician. He was a member of the New Egypt VFW and American Legion and was an avid New York Yankee and Washington Redskin fan.

Son of the late Delmas and Marjorie Buckalew, Norman is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Christina E. Buckalew; his children, Chantelle Martino of Sparta, Dawn Buckalew of Wrightstown and Jamie Buckalew of New Egypt; his step children, Robert Byrne of New Egypt and Sandra Shinn of Columbus and Richard Byrne of New Egypt; his brother, William Buckalew of Wrightstown; two special Aunts, Mabel Wilson of Hamilton Square and Marie Emery of New Egypt; 9 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren and 2 nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday, 11am at the Brigadier Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8pm and again Friday from 9-10am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Egypt First Aid Squad P.O. Box 368 New Egypt, NJ 08533 or to Van Dyke Home Health Program 99 Highway 37 West, Toms River, New Jersey 08755.
