Norma M. Elgrim, 91, of Cream Ridge, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her family.  Born in Trenton, grew up in Washington Crossing, PA, later resided in Allentown, NJ, Columbus, NJ, and most recently, Cream Ridge.

Norma attended McKinley School of Nursing (Helene Fuld) in Trenton and worked as a nurse for the US Postal Service, retiring after 16 years of service. She was hard working and owned and operated a consignment shop in Allentown for several years.  Norma was a talented artist and loved crafting. She and her daughter Donna spent many days selling their crafts at local fairs.

A longtime member of Allentown United Methodist Church, she was a member of the choir for many years. Above all, Norma was devoted to her family and was a dedicated homemaker.  She took great care of her home and loved working in her flower garden.  She was a loving wife and mother and loved all children, especially her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Daughter of the late Norman and Helen Steward, she was predeceased by her husband, Eugene A. Elgrim Sr., and by her infant brother, Norman and her sister, Helen "Pat" Steward.  Norma is survived by her children and their spouses, Donna and John Kamer Sr. of Cream Ridge, Eugene "Drew" and Jennifer Elgrim of Allentown, and Terri and Hodges Bacon of Kenbridge, VA; her grandchildren, John Kamer (Rebecca), Norma Stillwell (George), Michael Kamer (Denise), Amanda McKeon (Frank Lasaga), and Erica Elgrim; nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and one on the way.

Funeral service will be held 11am on Monday, May 13th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown, NJ. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.  Friends may call Monday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.
