Neil L. Marchesi, Sr., 89, of Hamilton, NJ, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Serenity Hospice at Hamilton. Born in Lawrenceville, Neil was a son of the late Bubel and Bessie Marchesi, he was predeceased by his brother Glenn and sister Lynn Gray. A lifelong Hamilton resident, he retired from Parker Printing as a graphic artist after over 20 years of service.
Neil was a member of the Italian American Sportsman Club and was inducted into the club's Hall of Fame and served as a former President of the printer's union. He was a member of the Brotherhood at Christ Presbyterian Church in Hamilton and played on their quoit league, he also enjoyed golfing and playing pinochle with friends but above all else, family was most important to him. He was a caring grandfather and great grandfather and made sure that time spent with loved ones was a priority and full of fun. Neil imparted his old school values of having a good work ethic, being respectful, doing the right thing, and being the bigger person to three generations of his family, and it is this for which he will most be remembered and celebrated.
Neil is survived by his devoted wife of 70 years, Jackie Marchesi; his children, Jill and David Mennilli, Neil and Alyssa Marchesi, and Terry Dey. He was the proud grandfather of Jessica Rosenbluth and her husband Benjamin, Neil Michael Marchesi, Tara Alley and her husband Nick, Kelsey Dey, and Kevin Dey, and adoring great grandfather to Thomas, James, and Michael Rosenbluth and Layla Rose Alley. He is also survived by his brother Bruce and his wife Manana and his sister-in-law Rita Jean (Leo) Clement and several nieces and nephews.
At Neil's request, services will be private, under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown, NJ and memorial contributions can be made in Neil's name to the American Cancer Society .
