Miriam M. Mac Reynolds, 85, of Allentown, died Saturday at her home. Born in Upper Freehold Township, she had lived in the Allentown area all of her life. She was a graduate of Allentown High School and Mercer Hospital School of Nursing. She had worked many years for Dr. Farmer in Allentown as well as Dr. Carl Blanche and Dr. Bernard Kelberg. Miriam retired after 15 years with Helen Fuld Medical Center in 1983 and was honored with the Nurse of the Year Award that year as well.
Daughter of the late George and Nora Matilda Drawbaugh, sister of the late George Drawbaugh, wife of the late Robert M. MacReynolds Jr.and mother of the late Robert M. MacReynolds III, she is survived by her daughter; Bonnie Nyere of Allentown, five grandchildren; Annette Carson and her husband Ken, Anthony Nyere and his friend Helene Spear, Robert M. MacReynolds IV, Amy MacReynolds and Craig MacReynolds. A daughter-in-law; Marion Jane MacReynolds of New Egypt. Two nieces; Joan Toomins and Carol Feeney and close family friend Carol Scott.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday 11 am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, NJ. Interment will follow in Allentown Presbyterian Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home. Mariam's family and friends were very dear to her.
