Miriam P. Hom , 94, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021 at RWJ University Hospital at Hamilton with her family by her side. She was born on February 11, 1927 in Bordentown, where she was a resident most of her life. Miriam, widowed at an early age, was a single mother who dedicated her life to raising and educating her 4 children. She worked for the Bordentown Regional School District at Clara Barton School for nearly thirty years, and retired as cafeteria manager. Miriam enjoyed gardening, crafting and baking as well as frequent trips to Atlantic City. She was a strong woman who loved hosting family gatherings. Miriam's life was successful, and her children love and thank her for her total dedication and the sacrifices that she made for them.
She is survived by her children: Jeffrey (Mabel), Jane (Steve Maldonado) and Jay Hom, and Kathy Sarabia. Her sisters: Emma (George) Yee and Margaret Martin. Her grandchildren: Jonathan, Melissa, Jason and Megan and her great grandchildren: Jayla, Skylar, Tristan and Charlotte as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating Miriam's life is being held Saturday, August 21 with calling hours from 11 to 12:30 with services beginning at 12:30. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown, NJ.
