Mildred R. Hulse, 93, of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026. Born in Trenton, she attended Cathedral High School in Trenton. Mildred was a waitress for many years working at many great Chambersburg restaurants including Crecco’s and Cedar Gardens. In 1984 she opened her own bar, Millie’s Place located on Anderson and Rusling Streets. She currently worked for Home Depot where she has worked for 25 years.

Millie was a 65-year member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Allentown. She enjoyed going to senior group functions, dancing and going to BINGO. Mildred loved flowers and taking care of her gardens where she grew amazing flowers and vegetables. She loved the beach and the Jersey Shore, especially Atlantic City and Sea Isle City, where her beloved aunt and uncle had a home. She also had many fond memories of crabbing with her kids and, in her younger years, surf fishing with her mom, dad and uncles.

Mildred’s greatest joy was her family. She cherished time spent with her children and loved watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow.

Daughter of the late John and Mary Mildred Toth, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, George Hulse, her brother, John “Jack” Toth, and by her grandson, Tyler. Mildred is survived by her children and their spouses, Cheryl and Daniel Petrino, George and Laurie Hulse, and Sharon and Roger Smith; her grandchildren, Daniel Petrino (Victoria), Joseph Petrino, Alyssa Hayman, Andrew Hulse, Devin Hulse, Roger Smith Jr., Bryana Smith (Christopher Polanco), and Brandon Smith (Riley); her great grandchildren, Roger III, Aubrey, Maverick, Emelia, Chloe, Isabella, Sophia, Daniel IV, and Madilyn as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 21st from 9-10:30am at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Allentown. Interment will follow in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Hamilton.
