Michael R. Vaughan, 52, of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Hahnemann Hospital, Philadelphia. Born in Portland OR, he resided in Allentown for several years. Michael worked as the head salesman for Shelter Systems. He was passionate about sailing and enjoyed skiing and traveling. Michael was an accomplished chef. He loved to entertain and was an exceptional host. Michael was a loving and devoted father to his three children and will always be remembered for his sense of humor that would light up the room.

Son of the late Paul R. Vaughan; he is survived by three children, Richard, Scott and Casey Lynne Vaughan and their mother, Deborah Vaughan; his mother, Thelma Vaughan; his stepmother and best friend, Patricia McCarthy; two brothers, Paul Steven and Steven Ronald Vaughan; a sister Paula Laxson as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation with the family will be held Saturday, January 3rd from 3-5 pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. A memorial service will follow at 5 pm. Rev. Dr. Stephen Heinzel –Nelson will officiate. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael's name to the American Liver Foundation, 39 Broadway, Suite 2700, New York, NY 10006.
