Michael J. Jones, 47, of Allentown, passed away Sunday, September 14th, at home after a long illness with his girlfriend, sister and niece by his side. Born in Milwaukee, he traveled and lived all across the country before moving to Allentown in 2005. Michael loved computers and programming and was employed at Allentown Inc. as a software developer. Michael enjoyed many hobbies, including photography, flea markets, music and the beauty of nature. Michael's easygoing smile and gentle humor during even the most difficult times of his illness touched all who knew him.

He is survived by his caregiver and girlfriend, Michele Ford of Allentown who helped him over the years of his illness and completely dedicated herself to his comfort and care in the last months of his life; his father John Jones of Florida; his sister Roxanne Tokarski of Beach Park, IL; two nieces, Angela and Michele Shultz; a nephew, Jeremy Shultz all of the Chicago area and five great nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Friday 9/26 3-4pm at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main Street, Allentown. A memorial service will be held on the 26th at 4:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Spirit of a Child Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
