Michael Hatala, III, 86, of Cream Ridge, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023.  Born in Bordentown, he was a longtime Cream Ridge resident.  A US Army veteran, Mike worked for New Jersey Transit as an inspector, retiring after 53 years.  Mike loved farming and nature.  He helped his aunt and uncle on Hatala Farms and spent many hours planting trees and taking care of his vegetable garden.  He was a former member of the Bordentown Elks and enjoyed fishing.  Mike also loved skiing and took many ski trips throughout the US, Canada, and Europe.  Above all, Mike was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Joyce.

Son of the late Mary and Michael Hatala, he was predeceased by his stepsons, Jamie, Jon, and Jody Gleason.  Mike is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Joyce Hatala; his sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Harry Warner, and many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held Thursday, January 12 ^th from 6-8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.  Funeral service will be held 11:30am on Friday at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Emley's Hill Cemetery.
