Melissa J. Sorensen, 56, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at her home in Trenton. Born in Mount Holly Township, she had lived in Fieldsboro and Pennsylvania prior to moving to Trenton. She had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Masonic Home of New Jersey in Burlington.

Predeceased by her parents Charles and Laura Stanton, she is survived by her sons: Christopher Sorensen and Matthew Wetzel, two step daughters: Monica and Robyn, her siblings: Charles Stanton and his wife Linda, Timothy Stanton and his wife Connie, Joel Stanton and his wife Sheila and she is also survived by her fiance: Daniel Carmasino.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown.
