Obituary

Maurice "Skip" Cameron, 87, of Cream Ridge, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at his home.

Skip was born on November 8, 1934 in Springfield, Mass to the late Norman and Beatrice Cameron. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Cameron. Skip is survived by his wife of 62 years, Phyllis Marcantonio Cameron; his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Geraldine Cameron; his daughter, Terri Pruneau; his four grandchildren, Kelly Ann Griffith and her husband, Mark, Jamie Lynn Cameron, Cameron Pruneau, and Heather Conlon and her husband, Tyler; his great grandson, Cameron Griffith; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Carol Cameron and Warren and Marion Cameron; his half-sister, Marion Stowers; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

A US Air Force Veteran, Skip attended the University of Massachusetts, Stockbridge School of Agriculture. He worked as a golf course superintendent at many courses in both New York and New Jersey before retiring from Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit, NJ. Skip was a Mason and a member of the VFW. He enjoyed going to his condo in Ft. Myers Beach, Fl, and gardening. Above all, Skip loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and new great grandson.

Interment will take place at a later date in the spring in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of the Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
