Matthew L. Smith, 48, of Cream Ridge, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton. Born in Trenton, he resided in Ewing for several years before moving to Cream Ridge 15 years ago. A US Marine Veteran, Matthew graduated from Ewing High in 1980 and was employed for several years in the Buildings and Maintenance Department at Plumsted Township. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed fishing.

Matthew is survived by his son, Andrew Smith of Cream Ridge; his parents, David E. and Marguerite Smith; a brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Cathy Smith of Ewing Twp., a sister, Wendy R. Bullock of PA and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be held 2pm, Monday, April 26th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. Friends may call Monday from 12pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the VA Medical Center, Ft Dix OPC at Marshall Hall (642GA), 8th and Alabama, Ft.
