Obituary

Matthew James Blanchard, 27, of Bordentown, passed away Sunday, December 23 rd surrounded by loved ones.  Born in Trenton, he was raised in Cream Ridge and later moved to Bordentown.  Immediately following graduation from Allentown High School; Matthew enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp.  He proudly served his country, completing two tours in Iraq.  He was a member of St. Gregory the Great Parish in Hamilton and was currently studying Information Technology at Mercer County Community College.  He was employed by Randy's Lawn Service in New Egypt.  Matt loved to go fishing and camping with his brothers and cousins; was an avid Giants fan and enjoyed going to Rutgers football games.  Matt loved his family and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Matt is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Blanchard (née Fuge); his mother and step-father, Nancy and Raymond Kislan of Windsor; his father and step-mother, Charles A. Blanchard, Jr. and Shelia Bogner of New Egypt; his brothers, Charles A. Blanchard, III of Bordentown and Richard ""R.J."" Blanchard of Eastampton; his grandparents, Richard and Maureen Alexander of Carteret and Charles A., Sr. and Ella Blanchard of Allentown; step-brother, Kyle C. Abbott and step-sister, Shannon T. Abbott both of New Egypt; his mother-in-law, Ellen Fuge of Allentown; his father-in-law, Daniel Fuge, Jr. of Jackson; a brother-in-law, Daniel Fuge, III; a sister-in-law, Kristen Fuge both of Bordentown; a niece, Adrianna Fuge as well as many, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Monday, December 31 st at St. Gregory the Great Church, Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.  Interment will follow in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.  Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 pm and from 6-9 pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main Street, Allentown.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
