Mary B. Thompson, 92, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Capital Health Medical Center in Hopewell Township. Born in New Haven, CT, she was raised in Basking Ridge and after marrying her husband and starting a military family; she moved frequently and traveled extensively. Prior to settling in Bordentown Township over 55 years ago, she and her family lived in Italy for nearly five years. Mary had worked for the State of New Jersey; Department of Transportation and also for the Bordentown Regional School District. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, St. Mary's Church and the Altar Rosary Society, the Bordentown Township Senior Citizens and especially enjoyed line dancing.

Predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Mary Bradley, her sister Margaret B. Shepherd, her beloved husband, Fred J. Thompson and son Thomas S. "Chester" Thompson, she is survived by her son: Michael H. Thompson of Bordentown, her grandchildren: Mary Shannon Thompson and Kathryn Davis, her sister: Katherine M. Zelmore and her husband Clark of Warren, NJ, and many nieces, nephews including her special niece Carol Reinecker.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9 am Tuesday, February 7, 2014 at St. Mary's Church, 45 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. Friends may call Monday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ.
