Mary Olschewski, 92, of Chesterfield, has gone home to our Lord on August 8, 2014. Born in Trenton, she was a Chesterfield resident for over 62 years. Mary was a homemaker who loved to take care of her family and worked for several years as a supervisor for Switlik Parachute in Trenton. A member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Bordentown and the Chesterfield Hose Ladies' Auxiliary, she loved cooking, canning and gardening. Mary was an extremely strong woman, who was dedicated to her family.
Daughter of the late Michael and Mary Soganic, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 70 years, Leonard James. Mary is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Eileen Peterson of Boise, ID, Melia and Norman Stoop of Jobstown, Leona and John Hart of Perrineville and Christine Olschewski of Chesterfield; her son and daughter-in-law, Leonard M. and Roberta Olschewski of Chesterfield; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 10am to 12pm followed by a funeral service at 12 pm on Friday, August 15th at the Peppler Funeral Home 122 Crosswicks St. Bordentown, NJ. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bordentown. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Chesterfield First Aid Squad, P.O. Box 269, Chesterfield, NJ 08515 or to Virtua Home Health Care, 523 Fellowship Rd. Suite 250, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054-3414 for all of their kind support and wonderful care given to Mary over the years.
