Mary Liebhart, 92, of Whiting entered God's Kingdom and was reunited with her beloved George on Monday, May 18, 2015 at her home. Born and raised in the Chambersburg section of Trenton, Mary was the oldest of four children. After graduating from Trenton Catholic High School, Mary worked at the Westinghouse plant in Trenton. It was at this time that she met her husband, George at a dance social. After taking time off to raise her family, she reentered the work force and later retired from the State of NJ Department of Health. It was then that Mary and George moved from Trenton to Whiting. Devoted to her family, Mary was a fiercely independent woman with an extremely sharp mind and wit.
Predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 years, George G. Liebhart and her sister, Emelia Turano, Mary is survived by her two children, Karen and Jay Nickerson of Allentown and Steven and Barbara Liebhart of Yardville; her grandchildren, Lea Davis and her husband, Robert, Stefan Liebhart and Kira and Mary Nickerson; her great-grandson, Robert George Davis; her brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Mary Andreoli of Hamilton; her sister, Gloria Carr of Millstone as well as several nieces.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am, Friday, May 22nd at St. John's RC Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd, Allentown. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. Friends may call Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 am at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main St., Allentown.
