Mary Jane Kopec (nee Adam)
November 3, 1921 – March 17, 2020
Mae was born in Trenton and resided there for 90 years before spending her final years in Florida with her daughter Joyce. Mae is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Jacob W. Kopec and her two brothers John J. Adam and Stephen M. Adam. She is survived by her three children: Thomas Kopec, Joyce Potrykus and Michele Leone and their spouses, her three grandsons: John, Michael and Steven Bohn and one great-grandson Michael Bohn Jr., her sister Elizabeth Zargiel and two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Adam and Helen Stansky, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mae worked for Switlik, sewing parachutes for the WWII armed forces. She raised her family, cared for her husband and went back to work for many years as a crossing guard for the Trenton School System, retiring at 80.
She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery. Unfortunately, due to the unprecedented times, funeral services will be postponed to a later date.
