Obituary

Mary C. Kochick, 94 of Millstone Twp., passed Sunday, September 16, 2018 at her home.  Born in Perth Amboy, she resided in Hopelawn, NJ for many years before purchasing a farm in Millstone with her daughter and son-in-law.  During WWII, Mary worked for General Motors in Linden.  She later went on to work for a coat factory where she met her best friend Dorothy, who after introducing Mary to her brother Frank, would later become her sister in law.  Soon after marriage, Mary and Frank began to show and raise standard collies, sometimes having as many as 24 dogs and puppies at a time.  Mary still reminisced about her favorite collie and longtime companion, Buzzy.   A member of St. John the Baptist in Allentown, Mary was an avid fan of the NY Yankees, always enjoyed a good western and was a master of crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy in life was her husband Frank.  Whether staying at home or going out on day trips together- she was happy.   When Frank passed, part of her left with him.
Daughter of the late George and Mary Loso, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank Kochick; her sisters, Helen Lucina, Elizabeth Kara, Ann Gill and her brothers, Louis, George and Joseph Loso.  Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Guy and Chery Kochick, her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and John Orlick, who she lived with; her grandchildren, Bradley, Jessica and Joseph Kochick and Elijah Orlick who shared a special bond with his grandmother and helped as her caretaker in later years and her great grandchildren, Charlotte, Tyler and Michael.  Mary is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 7-9pm on Wednesday, September 19th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Thursday at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Allentown.  Interment will follow in Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville.
