Mary Denise Fitzgerald, 79, of Trenton passed away Friday, September 5th, 2026 at Capital Health Systems- Fuld in Trenton. Born in Philadelphia, Denise graduated High School in Hollywood, Florida, before moving to New Jersey and receiving her BA from Thomas Edison University. Denise worked as a travel agent and an interior decorator with various firms in New York, Philadelphia and New Jersey, and eventually went to work for the New Jersey State Department of Pensions for over 10 years. Denise enjoyed theater and thrifting, her pet cats, and a good meal, especially the Caesar Salad at Michael’s in Morrisville, PA

Denise is survived by her twin children, daughter Phyllis Deirdre Fisher Celi and her husband, Thomas, and son Roger Fisher and his wife; her grandchildren, Camille, Cory and Riley; her brother George Fitzgerald; and her beloved cat.

Cremation will be private at the convenience of the family. Services under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home in Bordentown.
